Title: Mitel Integrated Headset Does Not Hang Up.
Post by: ralph on September 23, 2020, 08:57:57 AM
[Revised]
6930 phones.  vMCD 8

I have a customer that is complaining that none of his headsets can hang up by pressing the button on the side.
Here's his quote:
Quote
Regarding the documentation, and our headset situation, it doesn't say how to configure the answer/end call feature, it just seems to be enabled by default, but it doesn't work.

It makes the audible sound of hanging up the call, but the phone/receiver is not doing anything with it.

I had him check the audio path and he confirms it's set to headset.
He says none of them have ever worked.

Any thoughts?

Ralph

Update:   I was able to connect a 6930 to their system via Teleworker.  Sure enough, pressing the headset button on the side does not go on/off hook.   I can get audio through it but it doesn't answer or hang up the call.
I've never used a 6930 with a headset before.  It always just worked with the 6940s.  Am I missing a step?

I'm pretty sure you need to use a DHSG lead for call control on headsets.
This also needs turning on under the audio/headset settings of the phone.

This is the integrated headset.  I don't think there's an DHSG lead there.

Thank you.
I just got the answer just before I saw your post.

It's not something obvious to me.
I really didn't expect it to be an issue with the COS.
