I have a customer with CX on MiVB 9.0. When I log in using the system user and the password I could open the System Administration Tool but when I try to open the Server Manager a get "You are not authorized to access this area" error message. I suspect it is somehow related to this http://mitelforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=11556.msg52082#msg52082
(http://mitelforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=11556.msg52082#msg52082). Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

Maybe you don't have the good login/password?
Also sometimes (V9) you are not able to open in the same time the server manager +administration tools
Close adminstration tools

			-
Remember, you don't login with "system" as the username, use the username "admin" and whatever password your system account has.

			-
I tried to log in as admin with the same password as for the system user and it did not work either :-(

			-
				Try system/password

I can’t remember exactly where without logging and looking at the forms, but under system administration you need to check the user ‘system’ has access to server-manager?

I read it wrong. I thought you didn't even have access to the administration tools.  Indeed, you must give access to the system account,  in the user authorization profile form
Set to true server manager

Thank you for your replies. I checked the User Authorization Profiles and the 'system' account had the Server Manager already enabled. I also checked the Shared System Option and the option 'Enable to Server Manager' was also already enabled. I tried to log in with the other account and I got the same error message "You are not authorized to access this area." :-(
I tried to disable and reenable the options in Shared System Option and User Authorization Profiles and with no luck either.

The screenshots you have provided look like the login page for MiVoice Business not Mitel Standard Linux.  Are you browsing to http://ipadddess/server-manager?

I tried https://<ip_address>  which turned into https://<ip_address>/esm_login.asp?loginBannerDisplayed=1, there I logged in as system, when I clicked on System Administration Tool I could log in to ESM. If I clicked to Server Manager, https://<ip_address>/server-manager opened with a login screen showing "You are not authorized to access this area.".
I also tried to open directly https://<ip_address>/server-manager and tried to log in as system/admin but with no luck.

				try to reboot your server

It was already rebooted, did not help.

				Try :
your pbx/server-manager
Login : admin
Password : password
I think it s a credentials issue. To be sure :
Putty your msl
Login :root
Password : your admin password
Another test :
Log in withe systel account From esm - system administration tools
Then try to reset the admin password in the user authorized profil...

I managed to log in (https://<ip-address>/server-manager) using the admin account using original password that the MSL was originally installed with. When I still had access I also started upgrade to the latest release 9.1.0.95, and after the upgrade was finished I experienced the login problems to Server Manager.
In the meantime I upgraded another PBX and I could not also log in in the Server Manager with the 'system' user. Maybe it relates to this new feature in 9.1 and there could be some bug in it:
Server Manager now supports adding new user accounts through the System users page under Administration.
You can define same user accounts both in Server Manager and in the System Administration Tool (using the User Authorization Profiles form) that allows you to open the Server Manager application directly from the MiVoice Business Tools selection page.
You can also set the same passwords for user accounts in Server Manager and the System Administration Tool, provided it meets the password criterion of both applications.

One thing to add, when migrating use the system login as any other will become the MSL password.

Thanks for this tidbit of info.
I recently migrated a system that had no "system" user account (it was deleted) and I wondered what the MSL password was set to. Now I know, thanks.
