Title: Internal 7/10 digit dialing showing wrong caller ID Number
Post by: jascrous on August 03, 2020, 09:52:32 AM
First off, i realize users dont/shouldnt be using 7/10 digit dialing internally, but they are.  That is what it is.

Issue:
7/10 Digit dialing back into ourselves is showing an incorrect System Default Caller ID Number.  Can someone tell where to find this config item.

7/10 Digit dialing to external numbers shows correct System Default Caller ID Number.

Thoughts?

When you dial externally, there is one default Caller ID that is shown?

Yes, we have one default caller ID number for external calls.  Calls to non owned numbers show the correct caller ID.  Its just internal 7/10 digit that is showing incorrectly.

If it takes the same path out as calls to other customers the caller id should be the same one they see. I would be calling the carrier if this is is the case. I would also look to block the users from dialing something they can reach internally so as not to waste trunk capacity
