Title: Automated backups can't connect to AWP
Post by: Dogbreath on May 21, 2020, 06:22:06 AM
Using automated backups from SAD.
The following is logged:

Code: [Select]
[2020-05-21 10:46:03] MINOR Cannot connect via web port for the CustomerName. In order to save voice data web connection must be established. Only the database will be save/restored.  Would you like to continue? Yes
[2020-05-21 10:46:03] INFO  System Database Save
[2020-05-21 10:47:43] INFO  System database save is complete.
[2020-05-21 10:47:43] INFO  Operation completed.
[2020-05-21 10:47:43] INFO  Database Programming is shutting down.

Yet I can always open the web interface from this instance of SAD tool. Any ideas?
The web port is not the default and has been configured accordingly in the settings.

Testing manually from DBP I see exactly the same error. I guess it's ignoring the web port settings configured for this system.

Is this a new install? New installations recently change to having the web port off by default. Check IP Settings>web/ssh settings. Webserver should be enabled. You can also set it to not backup the voice data. This way the web port is not used at all.

Open a browser on the pc you are setting auto backups on. Type in the IP of the pbx. Can you access it? login?

It's been in for years but I am just now getting around to automating the backups properly :-)

Yes, I can always open the web interface from this instance of SAD tool.

I have concluded this is just a bug in the management software. I ran a packet capture and whilst doing a backup, it only ever attempts to connect to port 44000. If I change the web listening port in the system connection from the correct value of 8443 to the default of 443, it attempts connections on 443 [and 80] whilst running a backup. Change it back to 8443 and it doesn't.
