Title: Hunt Groups for remote users
Post by: NMF on March 17, 2020, 11:50:33 AM
Hi everyone!
So with this covid-19 our offices switched to remote work.
What i thought would be simple turned out to not be that simple.
I setup DEE for all of them so they could get their calls on their cellphones.
Here is the not so simple part. If I call the main line and key the extension the phone rings on the desk and on the cellphone. If it goes through a hunt group it just keeps ringing on the desk and never rings on the cellphone.

I've tried having DEE off and just forward all calls to their cellphones but alas... it doesn't work.
Any ideas?

NMF,

Hunt Group calls will never leave the system via DEE or System Forwarding unless their is only the single member in the Hunt Group.

If you have IP Phones then what you need to do is setup the phones as Teleworkers and have the employees take their phones home.

Sorry,

TE

Yeah, Hunt groups don't care about other rules.

I figured a work around for this.
I created a google voice account and added all the my customer service reps there.
Then i created a phantom extension for the google voice number and changed the destination ring on the voice application for the attendant

You can also add system speedcalls into a hunt group for external users.

mark.vanderheijden,

You would need to be able to prove that to me with a picture or a fake DB as I don't think that is an accurate statement. Maybe you are thinking about the Mitel 3300 or the Aastra 5000.

Thanks,

TE

Hi TE,

Sorry did not look at the product group... In the MiVB this is possible. Sorry for the confusion.
