Title: Caller can hear ringing tone but phone is not ringing
Post by: Josh7 on December 17, 2019, 09:00:22 PM
Hello

I have an issue where in our call routing table, a DID is assigned an extension however the DID is dialed, the phone doesn't ring. The caller can hear a ringing tone though however the phone is not really ringing.

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Josh7,

Have you verified that you are getting the correct DID Digits to route that call correctly?

Route all calls directly to a phone with the "Outside Party Call Information has Priority" turned off; this will show the digits sent.

You don't have to change your tables just send the calls directly to the phone from the CO Trunk Group for the Day and/or Night Ring-In Type; depending on when you are testing.

Then call the number in question and see what digits show up on the phones display.

Thanks,

TE

Hi TE,

The thing was when I added the Attendant extension to the Associated extensions of that particular phone / ext, the issue got resolved.

Anyway, thank you for your feedback.Much appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh
