Title: SIP DIDs not working
Post by: Curtin_BPW on November 27, 2019, 01:53:14 PM
This is a MiVB 9.0 installation with SIP trunks coming in from a MBG. I have the MBG rule set to match the Request URI and have the number set to the 155555555XX with XX being used to cover the range (Didn't want to post the actual phone numbers here). I am using the Direct Inward Dialing Service Form on the 3300. I can get the DIDs to work if they hit a ring group, but they don't work if they point directly to the extension. I feel like I am overlooking something stupid here.  I have Public Network Access via DPNSS set to yes for the phones. The phones are 6920s running MiNet.

Run a SIP trace on the 3300 and see what the response on the invite is?

I had one last week where it wasn't hitting the DID form - turned out some saboteur had selected the DID "Off" radio button on the Trunk Attributes form on my new SIP trunk.

The one that always gets me at least 2-3 times a year... "Dial In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Absorb" in Trunk Attributes must NOT be blank.

Make sure you have your DID's in the SIP Peer Profile Assignment by Incoming DID form.

Otherwise, as NEPhoneGuy stated... run a packet capture from the MGB and make a call that fails, then go back and look at the traces in Wireshark.

I misspoke. I did have it set correctly to Insert = 0. Back to drawing board.

Dial In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Absorb   0
Dial In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Insert

I take it that you're using the Direct Inward Dialing Service Form to route the to ring group or the extension.
Can you route the call to VM or a system speed dial?  If yes, then your dealing with the COS of the device.
If not, then you'll need to do a SIP trace to get more details.
