We migrated from an Inter-tel system to the Mitel 3300.
With the Inter-tel, our receptionist was very easily able to transfer an incoming call directly to our voicemail supervising the call to see if the user is present or not.
Example: A sales calls comes in and our receptionist answers. She calls me, but I am away from my desk, so I would like her to transfer that call directly to my voicemail.
I know this sounds simple, but how can the receptionist transfer to voicemail after first supervising the call to see whether I am at my desk or not?
EDIT:
I have found the answer.

I know you have found your answer but for others searching I'm guessing you just used the voicemail key to transfer the caller rather than the transfer key.

Good Morning,
Actually, I pressed the transfer key and it then puts the caller on hold. Once caller is on hold, I then pressed the voicemail key followed by the extension.
This gives our receptionist the functionality to transfer a caller to anyone's voicemail.
