Title: One way audio on SIP Trunks
Post by: BlackSunshine on August 14, 2019, 03:37:01 PM
I am testing SIP trunks from local SIP provider without a MBG.   We have a SonicWall TZ-350.  I have the SIP transformations(SIP ALG)  turned off.  I am getting one way audio from outside to desk phone.  Audio inside to outside is fine.  Best I can tell from packet captures the RTP stream isn't making to phone from outside.  Are the RTP UDP ports 6004-6261?   Any help appreciated!!

It's pretty straightforward config for a single WAN.
Disable SIP ALG on the Sonicwall ["SIP transforms"].
Forward the SIP and RTP ports to the phone system.
Make sure your ACLs only allow SIP from where SIP is really needed from.
Make sure public IP is set correctly in:
System\IP Settings\System NAT IP Address
System\Devices and Feature Codes\IP Connections\P6000\NAT IP Address

If you are using two WANs, however, you will have to use the Sonicwall ALG as you can't have more than public on the MiVO250.
