Title: CF card full
Post by: andyring on July 23, 2019, 11:59:42 AM
Hello everyone.

Somehow the 1G compact flash card on my Mitel 250 is full/nearly full. It's not voicemail files as we barely use our voice mail. I can't see any logs that are taking up space either. What could be filling it up, and how do I clear it out? I spoke briefly with my installer last week and haven't had a chance to follow up with him yet, but he made some mention of getting Mitel involved and used wording like "really deep inside the system" if that helps at all.

In general the file system of the card is not accessible to normal users or installers, Mitel tech support will likely need to get involved.

Are there any MOH audio files on it?

Andyring,

It sounds like you have upgraded your system to a newer version without upgrading your CF.

Newer versions of software get larger which is why they went from 512MB to 1 GB to 2 GB on their CFs.

One thing that we do is remove any system prompts that are not being used. Specifically other languages to increase the availability of the space on the CF that would normally be taken up by them.

You can also clear out your logs and turn off reporting, but in the end these are just stop gaps. I suggest upgrading your CF to a larger one and don’t look back.

Thanks,

TE

Check to see if port 25 tcp is open to your public. We have been getting slammed on that port and have a few compromised systems. Check your mail.mainlog (.0.gz,.1.gz,etc)
