Hi All,
I have a member of our admin team that is wanting to have the option to manually accept a call from an external line., e.g if an external call is coming in, she wants the option to pick up the handset but not for the call to be automatically answered.
Does anyone know which option this would be within the mitel controller?

It's hard to give a solution without more info on how the calls come in.
You can have what you want by making a button on the phone ring and the user has to press the button to answer the call. This depends on COS values as well though.

This question is only to satisfy my personal curiosity. Why would one want to pick up the handset, but not answer the call when you could simply not answer the call.

I've had this request before. Sometimes in a busy office when there are a lot of incoming calls, a user wants to be able to make an outgoing call but doesn't want to wait for someone else to answer the call before they pick the handset to dial out.
Also they might pick up the handset to dial out just as a call comes in and they've answered it unprepared.

It is a Class of Service option... Ringing Line Select or something like that, my test system is at our old location and hasn't been moved yet. This applies to all calls ringing the device though, there is no way to selectively stop external but allow internal in this case.
