We are in the process of moving our biggest plant from PRI to SIP. They currently have 13 fax machines that they use. I typically buy the Cisco SPA122 for the fax machines but they only have 2 analog ports. Has anyone used the Cisco SPA8000-G1 device with the 3300? It has 8 analog ports but appears to only have 4 data ports. I assume I will need 8 data ports for the 8 analog ports.

You may also want to explore a 24 port ASU II if you have a 3300 on the same site as the 13 fax machines.

That is what we currently have but faxes over SIP does not work well off the ASU.

I have had far more issues using ATA's vs an ASU on the Mitel for faxing, regardless of the trunking type (SIP or PRI) so this statement confuses me a bit.
That said, you could consider a 16-port Grandstream GXW4216... they fully support T.38 for faxing and the cost is minimal compared to other ATA's at that port density.

That is what my Mitel vendor is telling me. We have an ASU and the faxing works fine over SIP but we do very little faxing.

Have you looked at the Grandstream product?
They have 1,2,4,8,24&48 port configurations that will support SIP
