Title: Cordless Analog with Caller ID Names?

Hi Guys,

I have a customer that is requesting a cordless analog phone that will be able to display the Caller ID Name for calls from other extensions. Does anyone have any experience with a phone like that that they can advise me on the right model? It is important that the phone displays the NAME and not just the NUMBER of the Caller ID info.

I have a few el-cheapo v-tech cordless phones hooked up via Cisco SPA112's. Works just fine, and does indeed support callerID. (I even have an alarm system and fax connected this way and that works as well, though the fax is a bit sketchy.)

I think the reason the OP may be asking is that analogue phones that display names [from the PSTN at least] are not a universal thing, eg in the UK you'll get the number but you won't get a name.

I have actually experienced some analog phones that refused to display caller ID at all and can't recall what they were so was hoping I was not the only one with this experience. Fortunately the customer bought phones before i got the chance to vet them and they worked with the Mitel 3300 so caller ID did work.
