Somehow callers are leaving messages in the Attendant MB. Haven't figured out how they are getting there yet but...
How can I prevent callers from leaving a message in that mailbox or is there a way to send a caller who reaches that mailbox say to the operator group?
If I set that mailbox with a greeting only FCOS, what happens o the caller?
What are the disadvantages of just deleting the attendant MB?
Any thoughts appreciated!

Make a new FCOS (copy the current one assigned to the extension to a new, unused one)and remove FCOS bits 40-45, then assign that FCOS to the admin mailbox.
You cannot delete mailboxes the Attendant or Administator mailboxes (998/999), the system will not allow it.

Thanks Ace. I'll get that set up but what will happen now if a caller reaches that mailbox?

It will play the greeting then disconnect I believe... Look through the FCOS bits, they control everything about a mailbox.

I did find this is the documentation finally...
So I have it set up as a greeting only and have the system attendant number set as x1000 which is a soft key appearance on a couple of attendant consoles so I believe they should be all set
Thanks again
