I'm trying to get all Critical and Major notifications sent to an email. I have the email gateway set up. Admin e-mail, email address and user email are all the same. I am using smtp2go as my server port 2525. I created an admin user on the systems not associated to a device. I enabled that user to get notifications in the System admin tool as well as the User Admin related field. One System is an IP only system and add a sip trunk to the system to trigger a Major alarm, but I am not receiving any emails. Is there more to it?

You need to use the SAD tool to setup notification on the specific alarms you want notified. As well as all the other things you have done

Thank you for the reply. Unless I am misunderstanding you. i had stated in my original post that I had enabled it in the System Admin Tool under Setup>Manage Alarm Notifications. I believe I am missing something else.

Create User with admin rights
setup the email address for that user
log into the SAD tool with that user
Activate system monitoring
Setup->manage alarm notifications
checkmark each individual alarm notification you want to receive.
The alarm groups have never worked for me.
The easiest alarm to test is the off hook alarm.
I have only ever had intermitten success with this.
