Title: MiVO 250 6.2
Post by: Crowtalks on March 27, 2019, 12:31:10 PM
local IT manager at customer decided to upgrade their system from 6.2 XX to 6.3 XX without consulting me and it is in license error with expired software assurance.

On the Mitel 5000 platform, I could access the support user and enable it...to perform the downgrade...

Where the hell do I go in the MiVO 250 to enable support user?

Thanks, Jim

It would be brilliant if I was proven wrong, but I don't think downgrades can be done anymore.

I was able to downgrade from 6.3 back to 6.2 where it was to start with...

Why downgrade? Bill them for the license and software assurance.

I work for a company in this customer recently had an account manager change andwe let their software Assurance lapse. They are working on quoting them software Assurance for all their locations but since my company works at the lightning pace of a turtle wading through molasses... there's no  telling how long that might take...thus the need for the downgrade...plus they currently have a maintenance contract through my company...

I'm sure the maintenance contract doesn't cover the customer being stupid, but that's just me.
