Title: CLIENT CAN NOT CALL LOCAL
Post by: hungnguyenit2007 on February 16, 2019, 10:56:14 AM
Dear Friend
Can you help me solve this problem:
- Currently I am using Mitel PBX with 1 trunk E1, call out operations: internal, long distance calls, international calls are ok
- operation when customers call from outside: long distance or mobile is ok
- however when guests in the internal area, call the hotel with an internal number, the error cannot be called. For example, hotel number: 0225 (local code) + 3240999 (phone hotel), customers call 9 + 3240999 not ok, but customers call 9 + local code (0225) + 3240999: ok. When calling in the local area with an internal number from the customer, they cannot call me

Have you set up the ARS digits dialled list to allow the local call to proceed;

So when you dial 9 + 3240999 the Mitel inserts a  local code (0225)

So system knows to strip the 9 and you set ARS to add 0225. Call flow is

Customer dials 9 + 324xxxx (where the 7 digits are a local number)  and system strips 9 adds 0225 and dials 0225324xxxx

You would have to make a route for every local number sso lets say numbers beginning with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 (only use the ones you need.). So if all local numbers start with 324 (for instance) you would have to set up a single route but if (for instance) local numbers start with 32,33,34,36,38 then you would set up a ARS entry as above using each of the leading digits.

It all depends on how your local numbers are set up by your provider.

x-man gave the right answer.

If that appears complicated, it's because it is, and he hasn't gone into the details, so calling your provider is highly advised.
