Hello,
on a ISS server with MiVB 8 SP3 PR2. 6930 and 6940 phones.
All was working well for some weeks (new install) then suddenly no more history on the phones, it shows up empty.
I reproduced this on my own phone which is on a different system, different country, same version (clustered systems). I had an history, I cleared it, then it wasn't populating again. I deleted the phone, recreated it, no improvement. I changed the phone type to 5330, still no luck. It's like there is something going on with the database, but there is no alarm, and I have no idea where the history is stored. I solved it for my phone by restarting the MiVB.
I can schedule a restart for the other system, but I'm stumped by this issue, has it happened before to you guys ?
Regards

Hi Ronan,
take a look into the System Options, is the Call History enabled?

Hi Ronan,
I slept over it a night....isn't the call history stored in the 6900 ip phones directly?
I think that have nothing to do with the mcd himself

There is a bug with the 6900 series where if you change an extension number call history stops working for the handset so it could be related.
This is also resolved by a reboot.
-
reboot the phone or mcd?
-
Stored on the phone, what if we use hot desk users ?
Magpye : is it mentioned somewhere by mitel, a release note ?
-
I already had this problem, in some cases it's enough to restart the pbx and in other cases it is necessary to back/restore database.

A reboot "solved" it, however I'm worried it might come back. I looked at the latest release note and it isn't mentioned.
The history came back, not just the functionality, so it really looks like some database becoming unreadable, or a frozen process.
