Title: Implementing MiCollab softphones
Post by: rmarcadante on January 23, 2019, 12:46:32 PM
Currently running version 8.0.2.101 on the MiCollab server, have 2 vMBG that a set for resiliency. 2 MXe 3300, 1 at each site  and 2 vMCD on at each site. The physicals have the PRI and SIPs and call paths and the vMCDs have all the Users, exts and ACD Skill Group programming.
I want to set up SIP phones and try and get rid of the physical phones. Is there any check list and Instructional guides to help walk me through this process? I downloaded the MiCollab Admin guide but I don;'t find it very intuitive. Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated.

Do your users have the MiCollab Client already?
Are your users setup with MDUGs?

Assuming yes to both, I would create a new device for each user, being the softphone, added to their MDUG.
Then they can start using their softphone when they want, or as you get a chance to train them, and both devices are available in the meantime.
