Title: Replacement 3300CXI not booting up with old i-button
Post by: Northeaster on November 10, 2010, 12:26:19 PM
Hi Folks,

I got a replacement 3300CXi controller (old one damaged in shipping) and added the old i-button, t1 card, 512m ram (replacement only came with 256m), APC card and it's hard drive.

The i-button brackets on the replacement chassis, likely refurbished, seemed loose, and did not hold the button tight.  I bent them a bit, so they hold it tighter.

Anyway, I get the following error message from the maintenance port as soon as I apply power: (it doesn't go any further.)  Any ideas??

My fault. RAM was not in tight.

Gotta love the easier fixes.
