Hello,
We had a couple phones get damaged that were 5320 models. So I had a resource that was changing phone systems and tossing their 5320e. Shouldn't I be able to just reset the phone to default and change to my settings? Or is it not that simple?
I did the reset, changed to my settings that I normally would have done on a new phone. Made the change in the phone system. Reboot the phone and it just hangs on contacting server.
Thanks in advance.

If you are stuck on CONTACTING SERVER, then you most likely have a setting wrong... If you reset, then assuming you don't use DHCP or LLDP to provision the device, is to set the VLAN and put it in Teleworker mode.
Although a properly configured system and network should require nothing but plugging in the phone. :)

When I purchased these used phones I didn't change my license since I was just replacing existing units. That wouldn't have anything to do with it?
Thanks again.

No, that wouldn't have anything to do with it...
