Title: Call the ext yields "please dial a 1", LCD reads "call forwarding to TG 92001"
Post by: joshgoldeneagle on October 25, 2018, 08:02:07 PM
Running Mitel MiVoice Office 250 database with Mitel PBX.

I have one extension having an issue where if you dial that extension, it tells you "Please dial a 1 when dialing this number".   The display reads "call forwarding to TG 92001" when you attempt to dial this particular extension.

I understand TG stands for Trunk Group FYI.

Here's the funny part:
If I dial the 10 digit phone number for the extension including the 1 prefix, it says "Please do not dial a 1 when dialing this number".

If I dial the 10 digit phone number for the extension without the 1 prefix it says "Please dial a 1 when dialing this number".

You just can't make this PBX happy no matter what you do!

It has nothing to do the the PBX.

The end-user manually forwarded their phone to an outside number that is a toll call, but didn't include the toll digit.

Hmm, based on your response, I will go into the Mitel MiVoice Office 250 web interface for that particular user account / extension, and see if call forwarding is turned on there.

Ok thank you.

I turned off the call forwarding from the web interface and the issue is resolved.
