Title: Set external Ring tone
Post by: KChan on October 23, 2010, 09:37:49 AM
I want to change the ring tone of my Mitel 3300ICP so that external caller would receive a different ring tone from my 3300IPC when they call through PSTN T1 to my DID extensions.  :( :(

Your choices for external call ringing is double or single ring.
What are you looking to do?

Ralph, Thanks the reply. It is double. I try to change the ring tone that the external call will hear when they call in my 3300ICP through the T1 PSTN trunks.

Edit the COS of the trunk and change "External Trunk Standard Ringback" to YES.

Ralph,

Thanks!

By the way I have another problems on the Individual Trunk Access Code, I programmed this feature on System Option Assignment and allowed this features on COS, but when I tried to use this feature code the I have Access Denied on the digital telset. Do you have any comment?

Thanks!

when do you recieve 'access denied'? as soon as you dial the individual trunk access code or after the trunk number? A common error is the trunk number needs to be 4 digits long so even if the trunk you want to pick up is number 101 you must dial <access code>0101<number to dial on trunk>.

Ralph,

Thanks the reply. Access denied after I dialed the feature access code and any trunk number 2101 to 2123, actually the message shown on the IP phone is 'Invalid' but the strange thing is I can still able to dial out on this IDAP T1 to PSTN.

Thanks

Invalid is not the same as Access Denied.

If it's Invalid, verify your access code.  If it's right, and your trunk number is correct, change the access code to something different:  try **2 or *#*#*#1   - it just has to be unique with no digit conflicts.

If it's Access Denied, double check your COS for individual trunk access.
