Title: MWI Reroute Hunt Group

Hello,

We're trying to implement IP integration on our CallXpress 8.1/mitel 3300 ICP systems.

The procedure I followed was from the AVST Integration Note, 'Mitel 3300 ICP (MiTAI) TCP/IP'.  My apologies - as hard as I tried I could not find the link to the white paper.

We're having problems w/ the MWI reroute hunt group.  Upon pressing the MWI to retrieve a message, we get the following:  I'm sorry, extension <MWI reroute hunt group number> does not answer.

I have a feeling it has to do w/ how the call rerouting is programmed.  But it may be a hunt group member issue in the respective hunt group.

I don't know anything about AVST but try these tips.

1.  Be sure the Reroute Hunt Group does not have an actual VM box.
2.  Set the COS of the Reroute to have the ONS/COV Voice Mail set to 'yes'.

I'll take a look at the aforementioned class of service options.  We're hoping to have a mitel/AVST tech visit our systems sometime this week - I'll post my findings.

Hello,

Just to follow up:

To make this work, we needed to go into callxpress 8.1 system administrator -> configuration -> system -> call routing tab:

In the number field = MWI Reroute hunt group number
Service Type = Phanton Extenson (there is no real voicemail box for this number)
Primary Extension = Check
Secondary Extension = Check
Comment = ____________

Everything was setup correctly on the PBX side of things, though I appreciate everyone's input.  I know more about the PBX side of things than I did before.
