Title: MXE 3300 dual framer audio issues
Post by: mattyboy on August 30, 2018, 12:16:54 PM
Have a customer at rel 6  that is looking to go to release 8.0 for the 6900 series phones right now they have 2 pri thru a fiber module and an NSU
we are trying to install a dual framer to eliminate the nsu    we added 1 digital link license installed the card and were going move one pri over to the new card  to test then move the other pri over  then remove the fiber module and nsu  then upgrade to rel 8.0

the issue is we have tried 3 dual framer cards in multiple slots when we test the pri we get garbled audio buzzing and static you can tell someone answers but the sound like donald duck and darth vadar underwater when a call is made the ringback tone sounds like a ground humm   any thoughts on what is causing this

Maybe digital link descriptor

Voice Encoding

This field is only valid for programming the voice encoding method of the CEPT Formatter II, DS1/T1 Formatter II (Universal T1/E1), and NSU cards. Possible values are "Nil" for no change, "ADI" for alternate digit inversion (even bits inverted), "Invert" for all bits inverted, and "Inverted ADI" for odd bits inverted.

NOTES

LA NSU (Universal T1/E1), set to "Inverted ADI" when calling from the SX-2000 FD to a MiVoice Business system (DSU to NSU).

NA NSU (Universal T1), set to "Invert".

NA NSU (Universal E1) direct connect to Universal E1, set to ADI.

UK NSU (Universal E1), set to "Nil".

UK NSU (Universal T1) direct connect to Universal T1, set to Invert

Embedded PRI: T1 in North America and E1 in Europe are set to "Nil" by default. However, if you experience noise on the trunks, set Voice Encoding to "Invert"

E1 in NA or T1 in Europe must have voice encoding set to "ADI".
