does anyone know what the official word on per cab support is

They have discontinued Support in 2015.
Can't find it from Mitel. This link is pretty accurate though.

I have also got an engineering report.
Which states the End of Life May 2010.
End of Support Oct 2015.
I can't publish it though.

Release information for 9.0 says that all peripheral cabinets must be completely removed from programming before upgrading to 9.0... That pretty much tells you everything right there.
