Title: 6900 phones with Office 250
Post by: Sube100 on June 25, 2018, 10:53:11 AM
All, I had major issues trying to get the 6900 series handsets to grab the SIP firmware from the TFTP server automatically via DHCP. In the end I had to setup a TFTP server on my laptop and manually change settings on the phone to grab the firmware...anyway, after all of this, I was told that you could order the 6900 series with pre-loaded firmware on them?? Either Minet or the SIP firmware...is this true?!

Thanks in advance

Sube100,

This is a Salesperson question more than a technical question. I am not aware of two different versions of the 6900 series phones, but that doesn't mean that there isn't.

You could call Mitel Sales Engineering and ask them about it.

Sorry,

TE

In response to your question on FW:

"6900 phones will ship with a Minet version of firmware (specific to MiVoice Business solutions). All 6900
phones will need to be upgraded to SIP R5.0 before interoperable with Mitel’s SIP based solutions."

Mitel's SIP based solutions means other PBXs such as MX-ONE, MiVoice 400...

Hope this helps.
