I am upgrading from the 5500 IP Console to the MiVoice Business Console and see that you can't use the hard console keypad (TKB) after the upgrade.
At present it is handy for the receptionist to use the keypad and I wondered if there was a workaround or alternative USB keypad anyone can suggest ?
Mitel have sent us some keyboard stickers to stick over some of the keys but they won't last long!

I never liked the fact you can't use a phone (like the MiVoice Office) or a dedicated keypad with the MiVB Console, it is annoying... But if you think this is a serious issues, consider a GOOD quality mechanical keyboard with custom printed keycaps. A really good keyboard will likely outlive your operator, and if it doesn't then it's likely a good investment due to the call volume. A company like http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/ could help with this, sure there are others.

My wife bought me a Macro Keyboard for Christmas this year.
It's heavy and feels very solid.
It has 48 keys and 4 modes giving you a total of 192 keys.
I bought some blank keys so I could label them with my own labels.
Then I used a program called Auto Hot Key to really enhance it to do some complex macros.
I use the thing heavily everyday.
If you're looking for a separate keypad that will give you a similar feel as the 5550 console, then check this one out.

Thanks for those ideas.
Any handsets you recommend/use ? I would rather those than a headset.
