I have a speed dial setup on a Mitel 3300. The speed dial works, but I would like to hide the outside number that it is dialing. I set up an entry in the telephone directory, but it did not display the entry.
Thank you,
Mark

To my knowledge this isn't possible on the MCD without blocking all outgoing number display on sets...

sip or Bri ?

Depending on release level will alpha tagging O/G numbers work (make it say Private or something)?
-
Try the alpha tagging first. I haven't tried this so I couldn't say one way or another.
But...
If and doesn't work and you really, really, really need to do it, create a special ARS route for a 4 digits number. i.e. 5555. Then in the ARS, delete the 5555 and insert the actual number.

When you dial the 4 digit extension for the speed dial, it changes to show the external number that is being dialed. I am looking to prevent this external number from being displayed on the 5330e phone.

Then you're back to doing it with ARS, which will work.
