Hi all,
I've got a receptionist getting driven nuts by a 5360 handset which is giving a double beep every couple of seconds, while the phone is ONHOOK
It's not got a cordless handset or headset so it's not batteries.
There's no features set on it that I can see in "locate feature extn". I've also cancelled all active features by FAC
There's no error logs or events at the time it started.
I've turned off the error beep notification in settings.
I've reset the handset by unplugging and changing the type to a 5320 and back and doing the ### extn number
but it's still bleeping...
Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
Rob.

Check keys , maybe multicall of another DN.

Is it a beep or a super short ring?
-
It's there all the time, every couple of seconds, beep beep, lol - so I don't think it's anything ringing as that would come and go...
I'm going to delete and re-add it tomorrow to see if that works, but it seems like a rather large hammer to crack a walnut...

Are you sure its coming from the phone , move it to another working jack and see if the beeping stops .

Does it have a bluetooth module in it?

Background music enabled on phone and they have a beep .wav file uploaded for their MOH?

That would be a wind-up and a half....

Wind up or not it was the music !
Added a music button, got her to press it, removed the button and now no beeps !!!
Thanks all for your thoughts & help - should guarantee me a coffee next time I visit site :)
Not sure how it got there in the first place, or if now the phone is playing silence to cover the beeps, lol
