Title: Message Waiting Light Won't Light
Post by: pakman on November 13, 2017, 10:29:10 AM
Hello,

I have an extension who's light won't turn on when you leave a vm. However, if you dial the FAC to activate message waiting the light turns on. If you check the message and delete it the light still stays on. when I do a locate feature ext. it shows dialed message waiting.

Thanks,

Maybe it's a bug.

Behavior only on one extension or all ?

Try to stop/ start voicemail using putty.

I moved my problem phone to NuPoint as I'm transitioning over and it still won't light. Her COS and COR are the same as all the other agents and their phones light up. I have moved over one other gal in her dept. as well just to test the light. I swapped out phones just in case as well. Not sure what else to try?

For nupoint voicemail you have to check Mitai message waiting in each voicemail

These are 5340's and I have checked the Mitai message for each box and it's set properly.

If you have Putty and NuPoint you can log in to the NPM console and select System Maintenance (S) > Additional Options (O) > Lights Test (L) and see if you can light the extensions in question. Sometimes I have to light, unlight, and then usually for good measure give it an "Existing Value" before I exit. That usually does the trick for me.

If MAS, verify that the integration to the selected controller has all the values, especially the mitai group

Do you mean the HCI Reroute Hunt Group on the controller?

Hello,

I can light my extension with this method but still cannot light her mailbox.

If I have other phones working could this still be an issue? Where is the located and should it be looked at on each PBX or just the one with the NuPoint HG?
Thanks,
