currently when a call is "invalid" the calling party hears a ringback that is similar to a busy tone.  is it possible to change this to  more of a LEC style " your call cannot be completed as dialed please check the number and try again"?

We are a call center and would like EVERY call to show up in the call history on the phones
i noticed that failed calls ( ie the call cannot be completed as dialed)  do not show in the history.  is there s feature or setting that i need to enable to get these to ALL log?

i have a situation where i need to forward on busy a hunt group to an external number. 
i have ext 3197 which contains ext 3400, 3401, 3402, 3403
i have a separate external hotdesk (7400) setup with an external number of 1234xxxxxx

i have the CoS set up on this and i beleive that it should work, however when i dial the number directly i get out of service. 

i have the hunt group number in call rerouting set to first alternative 336
336 points to 7400
my goal is to have the calls come into the hunt group and if these are all busy it will forward the calls to 1234xxxxxxx.
if there is a better way i am all ears, or if i am missing something in my config i am ready to adjust.  any help is much appreciated.

can a ring group be made to ignore DND?  we  have a high priority ring group that we want to ring all phones regardless of the status of the DND.

i would like to restrict international calling to assigned users only

currently all users have a CoR of 1

i am thinking i need to setup something like CoR groups, creating 2 new CoR and blocking the default.
1......................1-64 #block all by default
20....................1-19,22-64 # no international calling
21....................1-20,22-64 #interntional calling

then modify the Digits Dialed like so, assigning the 9011 to its own termination number

what happens to the Emergency route?  do i need to address that also?  it currently works but i think that it works because everyone is a one.  should the core read more like this 1-3,5-19,22-64?
am i missing some over pitfall?

i have an External HotDesk setup with what i believe are the correct CoS settings.  however when i call the hot desk extension i get an error "Not Allowed"  any thoughts on what i can look at to see what is not allowed.

Mitel Software Applications / how to stop autologin

we have a user that set the remember me and log me in automatically feature.  however when she boots up MiCollab it is asking her to changer her password. All users are connected to AD and her AD account has been reset  several times.  we removed and rebuilt the user in MiCollab and the MXE/VMCD.  same issue.  i think that we need to try and clear the auto login feature and try a manual login. but i am not sure how to clear that, is there a registry setting? or a config file that needs cleared?

we have several teleworkers that need to change the teleworker Gateway but it is not allowing them to do that.  it can be enabled/disabled, but not modified.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Forwarding Voicemail in MiCollab Client

i have 2 extensions that if i forward an email to these extensions using their name. it fails but if i use there extension it works fine.  but i have tried this with other users and it seems to work fine sending to the other extensions by name and number.  i checked the MiCollab and NuPoint settings and i am not finding the root cause for this one.  any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Mitel Software Applications / Voicemail in MiCollab showing 0 results

i have a user that can log in to voicemail in MiCollab but the Voicemail does not actually populate in teh MiCollab client.  it works when dialing in from hard phone but not in MiCollab.

when a couple of our users try to make a softphone call from the MiCollab Client, setup as an UC Endpoint, the call goes to idle and does not allow the call to go through.  after repeated times of calling it may go through but not consistently.

is it possible to filter the imported users based on Security group membership.
for example i would like to only import users that are part of say a MiCollab User Group.  we have users that are service account and some users that do not have phones at all and i do not want them imported into IDS.

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab Over Direct Access

we have Microsoft Direct Acces configured and working with most everything, however we have issues with MiCollab over Direct access.  it works over VPN, it works on the LAN.  we have one user that works over the Direct Access but we also have about 6 people that cannot work over DA.  it gives the error "Active Device is offline."  it authenticates and  connects which seems to tell me that the server is accessible but something is not connecting quite right.....

when people dial 1800 on the MiCollab client it is bringing up one of our users.  not sure where it would associate that number to that user.  any ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Outbound Caller ID Name

I am trying to set the outbound caller id name = company name.
i called the carrier to have it changed and they told me that i can just change it on our system and that we would over ride them 
i am trying find where that name is programmed.
