Title: Global Holiday Message Setup
Post by: colbod on December 19, 2018, 06:57:24 AM
Hi all,

Having had 5 years experience using an Avaya setup I've recently found myself in the unknown and working with a Mitel setup.

We have a Mitel 3300 and I'm using both MiVoice Business and YourSite Explorer.

We have a small call centre of around 20 users and have over 100 DDI's assigned to them, some have IVRs some don't.

The question I have is, is there a way of setting a global setting to apply an out of hours\holiday message to all DDI's in the call centre rather than going through them all individually. We already have a closed for the holidays message recorded and on the system, its just not assigned to anything, I was hoping I could just switch an "on" button for this to kick in  ;D

Thanks

You could try setting the Non-Dial-In Trunks Answer Points [Trunk Attributes form] straight to your message. A lot quicker than editing 100 DDIs [although this can be done in bulk with a CSV import].

Ahh ok, so I guess adding this to the trunk attributes will apply the message for the whole company?

Thanks for the reply.

It will "break" all your DDIs, effectively playing this message for all inbound calls.

Great! This seems like a quick on/off fix.

Am I right in thinking there is an number assigned to the message on the system and this just need inputting in the  Non-Dial-In Trunks Answer Points box?

I would look more into the call rerouting option.

Maybe set Night 2 to have all the numbers required route to a message.
