Mitel Software Applications / Teleworker Setup

I am trying to set up a teleworker phone for the first time. I have read through the Mitels docs and have found several docs to set up the phone itself. I can't find a good guide for the MBG set up of things. Wondering if someone can help me walk through the MBG setup.

I have the phones connected and I have provisioned the teleworker settings. The phone connects to the MBG it seems because it downloads the tftp during boot, but hangs on "contacting server". I have licensing in the MBG and have set the installer password and SIP capabilities. I am just not sure what I am missing.

The PBX in 7.2 and the MBG is 9.2. I am using a 5324 and 5340 IP phone.

I have a customer that is requiring to play a full 7 second message before the phone rings for the agent. For example when the call comes into the call center, a 7 second message plays "your call may be recorded type message". They want the caller to fully hear this message before the call center acd agent phone rings. I have adjusted all the timers I find relevant but the acd phone still rings as soon as dialed. The agent can answer the phone before the message fully plays. What timer would hold off on ringing the agent phone until that message plays?

Mitel Software Applications / MiContact Center install error

Client has been running Mitel 3300 6.0 SP3 for a while. Recently purchased MiContact Center to report on ACD groups. After the software install and while trying to sync with the PBX, I get an error at step 9 and it times out. The logs show this error as SXERR_CANNOT_CONNECT_SERVICE. I have double checked IP addressing, username/pass combos? Any ideas?

Is it possible to restore a backup of a system on 6.0 SP3 to a system with a new install on 7.2 SP1 PR2? I was curious if backups of an older version could be restored on a newer version software load.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Intrude Button

I have had something brought to my attention. I had simply never noticed it before. When calling some of the users and they are busy, I have the option to "Intrude". Others, I do not have this option. Where would I activate or deactivate this option? I have searched and it seems it is the COS for Call Privacy, but I am unsure. I do not want the end users to have the option to intrude on the call. Thanks.

Anyone had luck using the Mitel bluetooth module with a 3rd party headset? I have a couple here that don't seem to want to pair. They work fine with the Mitel handsets. Just curious about using a 3rd party ones. Plantronic etc.

Anyone using the 2380 softphone? I have a couple users that would like to use their own bluetooth headsets, we thought the 2380 might be a solution. Any experience?

Can you set the night message to play the message continuously? Currently it plays once and they forwards to the operator. Can I set it to play over and over the night message?

I know with a physical controller you can use the audio port for external MOH, but is their a solution for a virtual controller? I am not very experienced with VMware in general, but was curious as to if anyone had set up something for an external MOH source for a virtual controller? Anything as an alternative to the physical audio port?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Day/Night Message

I have a customer with 7 locations. They put a 3300 in each location. When you call any of the main numbers (7) they all go across a metro-E connection to the main call center. So basically all incoming calls to the main number end up in one location.

They are wanting to implement a day/night message. Simple enough.

My question is can I record the messages at the call center location controller or do I have to record it at each location/controller? I guess the scenario is call comes into controller E then forwards to the call center extension at controller A. Does it hear the controller A day message or the controller E message? Seems like I may have to record 7 messages or is their a better way?

For reference, all controllers have a system speed call button for their main number going across the metro to the call center extension.

I have a colleague with an issue with call merging.

This is the scenario. If I pick up the phone and call extension 500 and they answer. I say hold on one second, press the transfer button, call extension 525 and say I have Dave on the other line, press the transfer button again, then merge the calls it does not merge. However if I hang the phone up, the other two parties are online together but I am off. It will not merge all 3 of us, but will merge those twp parties.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Upload VM Greeting?

This seems it would be easy to set up, but I am having an issue. Can you upload a .wav file as the outgoing greeting for a specific mailbox? I see the option in the system audio files update form, but it doesn't seem to be active after I upload it. Can someone walk me through this? I have the file and the mailbox #.

I couldn't finds what I was looking for, so here it goes.

I have an ACD group that plays a message and then transfers to a call queue. Everything works fine. I uploaded a new message and know it cuts the message off before it finishes and goes to the queue. The new message is 21 seconds long. I have changed the interflow timeout seconds but it still cuts the message off. I was certain thats where I changed this? I am going blank.

Is it possible to set an ACD group queue to have and audible notification or message played if/when they move up in the queue?

For example, "You are now the 3rd caller in the queue"

Or maybe an estimation of the wait time based on the average call length?

Is there a maintenance cmd for finding all instances of a secretarial key? For example, if I have ext 2222 as a secretarial key on multiple phones, how can I tell which extensions?
