Title: What should I do with a lot of 5330 & 5340's (moving from Mitel)
Post by: acloghesy on February 22, 2024, 03:19:54 PM
I'm located in Montreal, if you know anyone looking for some phones.
They're all still working as these phone are rock solid! (but apparently people don't want phones anymore)
Thanks for your feedback..  if you have any ideas of where I could bring them or anyone wanting them let me know pls.

Tough sell, for 5330/5340 (non-E models) you can get these for under $40 each refurbished with a warranty from US sellers.

When we decommission old sets or systems, 5330/5340 phones go to the dumpster... As do most 5330e/5340e phones, we only keep a handful of ones that look really good. Just no value in them.

That said, Montreal is a pretty big metropolitan area, maybe you can move them locally as shipping would make even getting them free questionable.

Weirdly, I'm thinking if you pull the screens out you may be able to get a few bucks for them on eBay.
There's a lot of hobbyist out there who may want them for Raspberry Pi projects.

I haven't tested that theory yet but I've been thinking a lot about it because I may be having a bunch to get rid of as well.
