I ran into this one... had to backup and restore to clear it, supposedly something corrupt in the scheduler. :/

I thought about trying that, I know that restores tend to do little cleanups with the DB.
I’ll give it a go and update with results.

I've been working on creating a twinning scenario with Skype enterprise voice and everything is working great except for cloud voicemail. The PRG includes the Mitel deskphone and EHDU with the Skype ext(routed over SIP trunk). The personal ring group seems to be an attended feature and it is not happy when the skype cloud voicemail timer expires and cloud voicemail takes the call. The voicemail does work, but I believe that there is no acknowledged disconnect to the Mitel. After the recorded message, there is about 1 minute of dial tone included with the message. Does anyone know of an option/setting that can be changed or another better way to approach this?

Figured it out. It was a bad extension locking up the MWI process. Disabled MWI for that extension and restarted Nupoint...not a problem since.

Have you tried capturing traffic on your SBC and listen to the audio?  My guess is that you would hear the recording.  The service provider should also be able to capture the same call from their perspective.  I'm curious to see if the audio is the same in both captures.

I work for a carrier, but I'm in the Mitel group.  We've done this with our SIP support before for audio issues over SIP trunks.
And what have you found to be the trouble?

This sound similar to the 19 version .101 where the msg queue on nupoint fails
Is there a documented resolution for this? Upgrading is not an option, it’s standalone Nupoint and that seems to be the latest version.

I would continue to press the provider. I had an issue in which voicemail would not answer, company greetings, voicemail, nothing worked and it drove me batty! The carrier fixed it, not sure what the resolution was but I think it had something to do with SDP negotiations. The only thing standard about SIP is that it is not standard. Have you done any packet traces?

Running MiVoice Business 8.0 SP3 PR2(clustered) on ISS with Virtual Nupoint Build: 18.3.0.105.01

Just started having issue with MWI lamps. PBX continuously logs the following:

Source      Call Control - Software
Description      SWERR unexpected cp return code, OFFSET 2:$336, PC: $5854E0 LOG_ID: dpnhciorg#50, PROCEDURE: dpnhciorg_handle_virtual_reply, SEVERITY: cp_minor PID: ($5, $3D2)

Source      MiXML_CM
Description      CConnectionManagerServerEx::TerminateClientConnection: Terminate accept message sent to remote client IP <X.X.X.X:49517>, AppName <NuPoint>.

Mitel support has only suggested PBX reboot so far.  I have rebooted the ISS and the Virtual Nupoint. MWI lamps will work for a short time, then stop. Running lights test from Nupoint, I am able to light my lamp but not turn it off. Restart Nupoint service by entering offlin config mode and activating, MWI lamps will work again. They will begin to fail in a few hours. Has anyone seen this behavior? I wish their logs were more friendly.

Just to throw this out there- Secure IMAP to O365 does work from Nupoint 18.3.0.105.01
Enable IMAP superuser and grant this superuser access to the user mailboxes. Caveat- this is still probably NOT as secure as EWS, so I would recommend to use a long and strong password on the superuser account and change the password often.

You will need to look at your trunk settings under the ISDN protocol- "Replace external CLID" , and set to yes. Test this option, and see if it achieves what you are looking for.

Keep in mind that this may not work because many carriers are blocking "unauthorized number" call origination.  This type of service can appear as a "fraud" call to the provider as it did not originate from an authorized and billable DID on your service account.
If you are using SIP trunks, it is even more likely that it will not work.

FYI, got this sorted- it was a SIP ALG between sites. Disabled the ALG and the SIP trunk came right up.

Ace- Are you seeing the LAN go down every XX minutes? I had an issue like this with one of my controllers and did the following until we were able to get it replaced-  in Vxworks, issue the command  period 840,mips_reset - this will reset the LAN port every 14 minutes(in seconds), or modify it to the "seconds" that work for you . Quick hiccup that no one will realize even happened. I used 14 minutes because our port would shut down every 15 minutes, like clockwork. This should stick until a controller reboot.

We currently use MAPI gateway, but it doesn't support connection to EWS either.

Anyone have any workarounds for this? We are migrating to O365 and Adv UM no longer working for cloud users, as expected.
I don't see any option, aside from IMAP, in the Nupoint. Unfortunately, due to security concerns, IMAP will NOT be allowed.

Does anyone know of a "proxy" like MAPI Gateway that we can sit in between Nupoint and O365?

I found something called DavMail, but I am not sure that will meet the requirements. I sure wish Mitel would have developed MAPI GW to connect to O365.
Seems the only option is to migrate to MiCollab Adv Messaging and I'd rather not. MiVB is also not certified with O365 cloud voicemail.....Mitel is really tying my hands here. If i have to invest in migrations, the money will probably be better spent as a rip and replace to Skype or Teams.
