MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Trunk Group Display
« on: March 15, 2013, 03:11:07 PM »
We have assigned via the key map on 5320 phones keys that are Trunk Group appearance.

We would like to have the display show only the USER name on the display (which is the 7 digit phone number).  However, it also shows the Trunk Group number below it.

Any help is appreciated.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Disable "RING IC ALWAYS" Feature?
« on: February 05, 2013, 03:50:09 PM »
Is there a way to disable or prevent the Ring IC Always feature?  I have a client that wants the phones to always ring.  And while I've set the flags accordingly for each extension, a user does still have the ability to turn it off.  Meaning when they dial an extension, it rings the phone once and then they are on the speakerphone.  They want to disable this so that nobody can override it.

Prior to using the CRAs - it was working as should.  Call an extension and it went to voicemail.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / CRA - Blind Transfers?
« on: February 01, 2013, 01:12:18 PM »
I am using a CRA for auto-attendant use.  I have a seperate one for each mode - day/night.  If a caller dials an extension, and they do not answer, it is recalling back rather than going to that extension's voicemail.

I will say that I have it so when they dial 0 it rings a hunt group for the front area phones to all ring at once.  If they do not answer, I have it set to go to a different CRA that gives them the option to press a key to leave a message in their "general" mailbox.

What am I doing wrong here?

Appreciate any insight.

Great!  This did get all 4 phones to ring properly.  Thank you.

However, it did not roll to the AA.  I discovered that it's not the recall destination I had to set, rather the overflow destination.  Perhaps both as I have them both with the AA.

Thanks!

Okay, while I'd like to say I've tried everything, I obviously have not as this is still not working.

I have three loop start lines at a hotel/resort.  I need them all to ring 4 extensions at the same time.  If not answered, then it goes to the auto-attendant (2900).  If in night mode, they go straight to the auto attendant.

Any guidance on this?

Thanks.

Okay, found an acceptable way to accomplish this.

I set a station speed dial button to dial 35921102110#355

I then programmed a key to be this station speed dial bin

I then have keys programmed as a DSS key for those extensions.

You press the first button programmed as Station Speed Dial Bin 0, it asks for destination, you then press the appropriate DSS key.  BAM!  It worked!

Just to clarify - this "emergency" phone is an internal extension.

I actually get this to semi-quasi work using Station Speed Dial.  In Bin 0, I have it dialing 35921102110#355.  It will then ask me to enter the station to fwd to.  If only I had enough digits in the station speed dial to enter the 4 digit ext #.

Can I program a System Speed Dial to do this for me?

Example: Customer has a phone (I'll call that the "Emergency" phone) that when a button is pressed it calls whomever's extension is on "standby".  This can change daily as to whom. So, I created a phantom extension (2110 with passcode 2110).  On the "Emergency" phone I made all the keys, when pressed, dial the phantom extension.  Then, on a PKM48 at the front desk, I created a key that when pressed selects a system speed dial that dials this string (i.e. 359211021103552400), which should forward x2110 to x2400.

Will this work?

Good instructions - but I'm still having an issue.  Unfortunately, right now when the screen saver comes on the 5360, it just goes BLACK instead of showing the images.

Any ideas?

Now I'm having an issue that all my test messages/emails are still failing as they are trying to use the "older" information to get out.  I've already deleted those messages from the mailbox.

How can I clear this?

Port 25 is an obvious issue with Yahoo.

I finally tried GMAIL and it is now working as they allow 25.

I don't believe it's trying to send out encrypted.  Here is what I found about Yahoo's SMTP server:

•Yahoo! Mail SMTP server address: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
•Yahoo! Mail SMTP user name: Your full Yahoo! Mail email address (including "@yahoo.com")
•Yahoo! Mail SMTP password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
•Yahoo! Mail SMTP port: 465
•Yahoo! Mail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes

I have these settings in the System - Email Gateway.  In the user mailbox, I have "Enable SSL for E-Mail Server Connection" set to "Yes".  FYI - I am running 5.1 SP2 for the 5000.

I'm conistently getting errors when the 5000 is trying to forward a voicemail to email, or to notify the administrator via email.  I believe that the system is still trying to use SMTP port 25 even though I've changed it to port 465.  Any help?
