Ok so I finally got my 3300 installed as a node in my SX200 environment. Have all 3 sx200s talking to the 3300 and want to setup exchange as unified messaging voice mail. As soon as I create the SIP Peer Profile the 3300 goes into alarm status SIP Link Alarm
any have any experience with this?
Thanks

Did you happen to look on Mitel On Line for a How-To Doc?
I know we've done it a few times on the 3300 side (meaning we didn't touch Exchange) but I wasn't involved myself.
I would think Mitel would have a pretty good doc.

I'm not a dealer, so I don't have access to MOL :(

I found the how-to on the web but it is for mitel software version 7.1 ur2 I am running release 4.0 10.0.0.10_2 and it looks to have a lot of changes. Is there a newer "how-to" out there?

I'm away from my office now but I'll see what I can find in the morning.

I have a doc dated Sep 2008. 3300 ver 9.0
PM me with your email and I'll send it.

Ralph, thanks for the docs, I now have my sip trunk up, but exchange won't answer when I dial the sip peer number. There appears to still be a lot of differences in the docs for version 9 versus version 10. The sip peer page in the document looks nothing like the same form in the switch
-
That was the latest docs I could find for Exchange. Ver 9.0
Anyone else seen 10 to Exchange How-To docs?

All of the forms in MCD 4.0 look different but for the most part they all function the same, a few new features. If you enter the info in the Peer profile like it tells you to do for 9.0 it should be good on the Mitel side. You may have to play around with some of the options to make it work though.

A couple things I found, in the network elements form make sure the SIP Peer Status is set to always active (it defaults to auto) otherwise the SIP Trunk won't come up
and the docs say to enable Mitel Proprietary SDP, this has to be set to no or Exchange won't answer.
I have it working and have several people on a pilot before I roll it out campus wide. It is pretty much functional out of the box
Now to learn about the UM features of Exchange and get my Auto Attendants working :)

not to hijack this thread, but I have a simple question. In order to use UM with Exchange is there anything on the Mitel side that needs to be purchased (EG licenses?)
Thanks

Yes you will need SIP trunk licenses

Jackpod,
I'm curious if you see a problem I'm having with an Exchange integration. Namely, these users have a single line appearance. If the operator transfers the call to the user while the user is on the phone, the operator hears the beginning of the mailbox messager. However, when the operator completes the transfer, the call is dropped. It has been driving me nuts!

sorry for the delay in answering but with vacation and holidays and all :0
I haven't seen what you describe, but all my users have a multiple appearance on their phones. Is your operator a person or are you using the exchange auto attendant?
-
The operator is a person. And yeah, typically I put more than one line appearance on a phone but this site specifically did not want to be rung when on the phone.
