I have a 250 running 6.1 sp1. I have Auto Attendant transfer prompt set to no. However, callers still hear "please hold while your call is being transferred to XXXX. Is there a way to stop this?

I assume you are referring to Voice Processor > Application-Related Information > Auto Attendant Information > Auto Attendant Transfer Prompt: No.
If that is the case then most likely the place you are timing out to has either a Mailbox or an Extension ID with that function turned on as well.
