We are able to access the Server-Manager WebUI login screen from the external interface of our MBGs.

The external IP address is not listed in Trusted Networks, just the LAN side IP.

I thought we had this disabled in the past but we are not sure how to disable the external access.

Call Forwarding is working fine. We have it set up on a Phantom extension so users can use the *65 feature code with the Phantom extension to change the number the calls forward to.

This is an on-call type setup where the forward is rotated to different people's cell phones on nights and weekends.

We need these on-call people to be able to change the forwarding number when they are offsite. Like dial-in on their cell phone to change the call forwarding.

What could we set up for them to call in and change the forwarding number?

We were on 9.4 SP1 and upgraded to 10.0 SP1

Previously I think it was a complaint with the system that an external call that would get transferred internally by an AA or similar would have an internal call ring cadence. Because the call would not hold the information that it was an external call.

It almost seems like they may have fixed this now and transferred external calls are keeping their external call ring cadence where they did not before.
Trying to test this but wanted to see if anyone knows if this was officially "fixed".

Our partner states our MiVM, Micollab, and MBGs need to be updated to support the 69xxw phones.

We are on:
MiVB 9.4
Micollab: 9.5
MBG: "MiVoice Border Gateway 11.3.0.68" (this is just what I see on the MBG server manager pages)

Could someone confirm that we would need to upgrade to support the phones?
The firmware upgrade guide for this device states 9.1 or higher.

We have one agent phone that when a call comes in a "Call Info" CallerID window comes up on the 5320e display. They have to click the Close option before they can click the line key to answer the call.
This only happens on one phone that has the same COS as all the others.
I failed finding where this feature is set.

I have found the mitel headset compatibility guide but it only covers 6900 IP Phones, 6800 SIP Phones, and IP400
Phones.

We use 5320e phones.

I know a lot of headsets are "compatible" but we specifically what to know which ones the on/off-hook functions with the headset button (without a lifter).
We use Sennheiser Officerunner now but they do not support that functionality.

If anyone has a guide for the 5320e phones or knows some good headsets that have the on/off-hook function.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Looking for partner recommendations

Hello,

The products we currently utilize - MiVoice, Micollab/Nupoint/MBG, MiCC, MiVCR.
On the US West Coast and are a very small organization with a small call center.

We have been through 2 partners over the last few years and haven't had a very good experience with their knowledge and timely handling of moves and changes.
Our current partner just doesn't seem to have enough knowledgeable staff to handle their workload.

Can anyone recommend a partner they are overall happy with?

Is there a MiCollab report I could run to show historical information for what MiCollab status a user had set or changed?

So far I have not been able to find this answer.

We use MiVCR for call recording and we wanted to find out if it is possible to have a call that is blind transferred to an external number get recorded. The conversation between the originating caller and the external destination.
I do not know if Mitel drops the call at the point of the blind transfer and just connects the originating external caller with the external destination they are transferred to, or if the call is still brokered through the Mitel system.
We are doing station-side recording and not truck-side recording in the MiVCR currently.

Our old Asterisk system used to have that functionality and wanted to see if it was possible with Mitel.

Mitel Software Applications / Softphone doesn't work on internal network

Hello,
We have the Micollab softphone working on desktop and mobile on external networks.

However, when you get on our internal wifi or are using vpn it doesn't work correctly. If you try to call an extension the call is established but just continues to ring after the called party picks up, the call is not connected.

Our MBG is in gateway mode and the internal Micollab client address DNS is pointed to the LAN side IP. External Micollab client address DNS is pointed to the WAN side IP.
I've tried setting a PC to use the external DNS when on our internal network but it didn't make a difference.

Our Mitel support provider tried to tell us you have to change TW setting on the client every time you move between networks. That is of course not functional and can't be how it works. Additionally, you can't even change that setting anymore on the Micollab mobile app.

Periodically callers are reporting that they are told it is a 6 hour wait time when they were the only one in the queue and agents are present.

We have not been able to reproduce the issue and are not sure what the scenario is that might be causing it.
Works normally most of the time and when we test it.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

Wasn't sure if one of the Line Types for programming phone keys had this functionality. At least I couldn't tell which one might do that.

If anyone knows or has a list of definitions for the programable key Line Types.

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab IDS User Distinguished Name change

Integrated Directory Services is syncing and working fine.


We need to update a MiCollab user with a new name as there is a new employee using the extension.
I'm able to change the name Users and Services but I don't know how to update the directory Distinguished Name so the authentication will work for the new user, it is just greyed out with the old users DN.

When I try to sync IDS the new user is sitting in Detailed Queue with an error the "Role" is required. I'm not sure how to match up the new user with the extension as I have not had to do a name change yet.

In our NuPoint call flows, we have a variety of messages and we don't want callers to be able to skip them by pressing a key on the phone.

As of now they can just by pressing any key.

Is there a way to make the messages "unskippable"?
