Title: Weird 200ICP VM behavior
Post by: acejavelin on June 26, 2012, 07:51:37 PM
I recently did an migration from a LW19 platform with an external VM to a SX200ICP with embedded VM in a hospitality environment. Everything seems OK with the VM until a guest room call arrives in the VM (the room is Checked In)... the VM answers and starts to say the expected guest room greeting then the strangeness occurs, what is heard is "The party you are calling is unav... Your message is too short and has been discarded" then the caller is sent back to the main greeting. I have verified the proper COS is applied to the VM ports and they seem to be programmed correctly, any ideas? BTW, there are no admin mailboxes and I haven't built one to test with yet, and if the room is not checked in the VM functions properly and plays a message then transfers the caller to the operator. Probably gonna call tech support in the morning, but thought I would run it by here first.

I've seen similar behavior when a DTMF tone is recorded in a greeting.
But since you're hearing the canned greeting I can't imagine that to be it.

Turned out one of the tenants (for the rooms) had the CFB/CFNA set in Form 19 to the System Speed Call string used by the old voice mail system... pulled that out and changed it to just the embedded VM hunt group number and all was fine.
