I though I saw a comment in a thread recently on how to get a non-prime line on a set to ring for a line in another node in the cluster. Can't for the life of me find it now, and I have a need to do that on an MCD 6.0UR3 cluster.

What I mean is, the user at 1234 at site A is temporarily moving to set 5678 at site B. Rather than reprogram phones, or change the user to a HotDesk user, looking for a quick and dirty way to give 1234 a ringing appearance on 5678. I can't figure out how to do that.

Anyone got Meet Me Conference working with DID access from Digital E&M trunks? I have a recent install of a MiVB 7.2 system: MMC is programmed correctly and works fine internally and when external callers are transferred to the MMC access number, but I can't get direct DID calls into it to work, callers just get reorder tone. I know the DID number itself works, I can assign it to a set and the set will ring. I've tried every other method I can think of to point an otherwise working DID to a different MMC access number, and nothing works. I've got Mitel tech support stumped, they seem to think the trunk type is the problem. Customer is switching to PRI's in the next few weeks. Any ideas out there?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call Duration Display on QSIG T1
« on: March 05, 2015, 12:22:25 PM »
Running MCD 6.0UR3. I have 2 PRI's to AT&T and 2 QSIG links to an Avaya CM/Aura environment. Call Duration Display works fine on calls involving the PRI trunks, but does not display on calls over the QSIG links. What setting am I missing? COS settings are identical.

Looking for a way to simplify collecting the traffic files generated in MCD6. I've noticed that the files are available via FTP from the controller in /db/cc/traffic, and though they have a .1 extension it's just an ASCII text file. So, all I need to do is figure out the scripting required to have my Enterprise Manager server FTP to the MCD, transfer the files, and if possible, place them into folders arranged by the system name and maybe the date as well. Anyone out there done something like this? I'm the world's worst programmer, but given enough time I should be able to figure it out; but thought I'd see if this is something that's already been done by someone out there.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / PRG and Emergency Call Notification
« on: January 09, 2015, 11:30:12 AM »
Anyone know if it's possible to have a 5360 be the prime member of a PRG with a UC360 *and* a member of the Emergency Hunt Group? Have a customer who wants both, programming won't let me do it.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5212dm in SIP mode on MCD6 - how?
« on: December 10, 2014, 09:59:37 AM »
Trying to set up a 5212dm in SIP mode on an MCD6 to troubleshoot issues with a ClearOne VH20 connection. I've got the set in SIP mode and pulling date and time, but I can't seem to figure out the rest of the settings. My previous SIP endpoint configuration experience is only with UC360's and XLite, and this doesn't look much like either of those. Anyone have a guide?

Mitel Software Applications / Java update 1.8.25
« on: October 15, 2014, 03:04:02 PM »
New version of Java got pushed to my laptop, breaking a bunch of Java-applet related things again. Things like backup, restore, and audio files update on MCD's as well as Enterprise Manager and OPSManager (yes, I'm lucky enough to still have to deal with OpsMan). I've managed to get it to work by adding lines to the Security Exception list in the Java control panel for each MCD or server I need to talk to. Use the IP or FQDN of the box, whichever you use to access it, and for MCD's make sure to add both a "http" and "https" entry. For Enterprise Manager and OPSManager, you need to add 2 lines as well, one for the IP/FQDN only, and one with the ":9090" added at the end.

Mitel Software Applications / SIP integration with Google Hangouts
« on: September 10, 2014, 08:38:50 AM »
I have a customer that is looking to deploy Google Hangouts for a videoconferencing solution, and needs to integrate the Chromeboxes in the conference rooms with their 3300/MCD/MiVoice Business environment. They do not want to use the Vidyo H2O solution. So, as far as I can tell, their options are to find a SIP client for the Chromebox, or find a SIP conference phone that has audio input/output ports that are compatible with the ones on the Chromebox. Anyone know of such a thing?

I know it's not officially supported, but I'm wondering if anyone's been able to run Enterprise Manager and OpsManager on a virtual server. Got a customer running EM 6.0.4.3/Ops 9.0.4.1 on some pretty old hardware, looking at replacement options. Customer has an existing MS Hyper-V environment.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / New MCD 4.0 release
« on: November 13, 2013, 09:50:17 AM »
Just a heads-up, there's a new MCD 4.0SP4 release (10.0.4.26) out there for anyone still working on upgrading a network from classic mode to GDM. According to the release notes, this is the recommended release for performing the migration as it has a few more SDS bug fixes and some migration tools added. Looks like it went up on MOL on the 8th.

Guess I know what I'm doing in my test lab this week...

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Set clock from RTC shell?
« on: September 19, 2013, 03:33:39 PM »
Anyone know the command syntax for setting the clock from the RTC shell? I'm 99% sure there's a way to do it. Part of a larger experiment I'm trying to work around a situation that caused an upgrade to fail on me.
