Title: Mitel 6970 - Hotdesk
Post by: irongladiator on November 12, 2019, 01:24:19 PM
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs!
I just got my hands on the Mitel 6970 for the 1st time. We have it setup so that it uses Hotdesking, which is a cool feature and something that the UC360 cannot do. However I notice that EVERY time I end a call, I get a window that pops up and says:

"You are currently logged in to Hotdesk. Would you like to remain logged in?"
...and then it give two options you can touch "Keep Me Logged In" or "Log Out".

(It should also be noted that if you don't select an option that it simply logs you out.)

.....this is slightly annoying that this happens every time you end a call. Does anyone know of a way to disable this?

Thanks,
-Iron

@Apersons,
After doing some digging I found in the user guide (See attached) it talks about "Privacy". I've asked our local Mitel Engineer about it, and I'll let y'all know what he says. I'm thinking that based on that, that there is probably no way to have it turned off. Perhaps the best way to get around that (for now) is to configure it so that it is a Non-Hot Desk device.

Thanks,

I'd be using this in a meeting room, so would normally have a fixed extension on it.
