Title: Call routing issues
Post by: wscottcoates on March 05, 2018, 08:58:01 AM
Hello,

We have been having issues lately with our phone system. Everyday or every other day we run into problems with vm not answering, the main lines aren't answering, and the teleworker phones cannot connect. When this happens, we restart the nupoint and it works again for a short time. Please help, this is very frustrating and we aren't sure how to fix it.

Our setup
3300 6.0 SP1
NuPoint 5.0.64.0
MBG 8.0.17.0

If this is effecting both Nupoint VM and teleworkers phones (MBG) I would suspect an issue with the MAS / MiCollab server.  Can you ping and log into the server at time of issue?  Regardless I would be raising a ticket with Mitel and pulling off the logs.

Have you checked the status of the ports? Are they all busy perhaps? You can "STATE" them in the 3300 or telnet to the MiCollab/NuPoint server and use the 'vccs' command to see the ports.

I reboot Nupoint a hour ago. I will check the ports when the problem occurs again.

Thanks

Go to the MiCollab system information and check your RAM, CPU and disk space.

This is what is happening in the consol right now. We are currently experiencing the routing issues.

Looks like it may have been a Firewall issue. The person who setup the firewall had the Phone subnet attached to the LAN zone. All of the LAN rules and filters were affecting phone traffic.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
