How to load "beep wav" file for parked calls on Mitel 3300 mxe with analog phone
-
Are you looking for a beep tone rather than music on hold?
Ralph

yes, however I need a 5 second one and a 10 second one. the one I found was a 15 second wav file.
And I just want to say that the one you provided, the beep.wav file loaded like a charm. Very impressed how easy it went. So wondering if you have the 5 second repeat increment as well as a 10 second repeat increment beep wav file?
-
I would use audacity or something similar to cut the 15 second down. Just remember to export as 8000 HZ mulaw wav. Think it is other compressed format.
-
For convenience I modified the beep file from http://www.mitelforums.com/articles/3300/mitel-beep-tone-moh.php
I have cut the audio to a 5sec file and a 10sec file.
Ralph I hope you're ok with this.
As John said I use Audacity to do this.
-
That's awesome. Thanks, sarond.
I think I may add those two files to the download page if you don't mind.

I have no problem at all with that.

Done.
The zip file has been put on the page: http://www.mitelforums.com/articles/3300/mitel-beep-tone-moh.php

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

I really think he should have made the changes using Audacity himself, as it would help in the long run to understand the format and modifying recordings in the future.
If he would come back after an issue, I'm good with that. I hope to empower the user and not do the work.

Yes I agree, even though I did give the easy way out. :-\
Maybe a reference should be made to upload to this forum as it is a common request.

Why re-invent the wheel, somebody has already done the hard work.
Bit of google-fu produced the below link.

Nice, just they way I would do it :)

It might be worth my time to write a how-to for this site.
The link to the other site appears to be for older software since it doesn't match how to do it on my Audacity.

I had a write up on how to do this a few years ago for a customer. I'll have to dig around and see if I still have it, but again, it may be for an older version of Audacity.
