Title: Emergency phones
Post by: JB007 on April 17, 2007, 08:35:48 PM
Hi i'm new in the VoIP stuff, at work i'm trying to administrate all the VoIP infrastructure, but i'm not an expert and i'm learning on my way, i have no idea on much things, and there was a project on the company that was the emergency phones.

this kind of phones have no keyboard, so it is supposed to place a call to a designated number when you pick-up the phone, can you guys help me out on how to configure them at my controler???

i will appreciate it very much, thanks in advance...

Hi JB007,

Welcome to Mitel Forums.  I haven't tried to do this yet on a 3300 controller.  But I do bet that it it would be different based on the type of handset.  I'm guessing you are thinking analog phone, but perhaps a 5201?

i'm using analog phones, i have 5201 in the office, but the fact is that if i put an 5201 have keyboard on it, so maybe the people will miss use the phone and will place calls to other extensions

Try associated directory number assignment form
- Directory number : 2201 ( analog )
-Associated type : Hot Line
-Associated number : 2202

When 2201 is off Hook,  ring is pointed to 2202
