Title: Problem Backup by ftp to NAS
Post by: manzo on October 26, 2011, 11:27:25 AM
Hi, I've this problem: I've to do a backup and transfer it by ftp in my NAS *unix based. So, I've configurated the External FTP server with IP, User and psw and this path: /public/ ; but when I do the backup the web-interface show me an error and in the log I found this:

- FTP: Missing file
- Prohibited file name: /public/\backup_XXX_10.2.2.10_20111026170403.tar

I think that the problem is  the \ in front of the name.
The Ftp on the Nas is tested and it works with other application.
Can you help me guys? Thx

Have you tried putting the path in without any slashes, before or after?

Sounds like this one may have to be escalated up to Mitel tech support.
Looks a little buggy to me.

On your FTP configuration what is your root directory?

If you haven't already make sure your controller is in your trusted list and set the directory should be \public this should allow access you could also test it by pointing to another ftp and see if it works otherwise it is an Issue with your NAS and Mitel.

I've spent one pass with my lab system and backing up to my win7 machine via Fizilla FTP server.
Failed.
Haven't had time to dig into the resolution yet.

I have done this for multiple sites just a matter of rights to the directory, auth, and trusted sites.
