Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SMB Embedded Nupoint Auto Attendants

I will preface my question by stating that I have over 25 years of experience in telecommunications. I have installed and been certified in Nortel, Iwatsu, ShoreTel, Samsung, Avaya, the Mitel 250, 470, and most recently the MiVoice Business.  I currently have a MiVoice Business SMB with Embedded NuPoint VM on the test bench being prepped for installation next week. 
The customer is a church and school.  We are installing SIP trunks and porting their current numbers to the SIP trunks.  Currently the church and the school each have their own answering machine for messages.  They would like to have separate Auto Attendants for each. I am struggling how to find a way to do this on the SMB.  The voicemail ports seem to automatically be tied to the voicemail hunt group and it does not appear that there is an easy way to split that up.  The system is currently configured with 4 voicemail ports. I tried experimenting with a phantom extension but have not been successful.  I built a call flow for testing and that works fine for the school side but I am not sure how to have a separate call flow for the church. 
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SMBC Server Manager

I am setting up our first SMBC and following the instructions per the manual.  When I get to the point to login to server manager I get a Forbidden message that states that I do not have permission to access server-manager on this server.  Has anyone else encountered this?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Dial Out on Specific Line

I have a customer that is a small medical office with 7 analog lines.  They have a CXii with Embedded Voicemail and 6900 phones. Line 4 is a private line that rings on 1 phone.  They dial 9 to call out, but want to know what they can do to specifically dial out on line 4.  I thought maybe they could just dial the trunk number to dial out but that does not work. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Number of Rings for Operator

I have a CX ii chassis with 9.4 software and Embedded Voicemail that I am in the process of programming for installation in a small medical facility.  I have four 6930 phones for the Operators and twenty-six 6920 phones for the remainder of the facility.  The system is programmed so that calls answer with the Auto Attendant and present the callers with several options. During the day, callers are allowed to press 0 or remain on the line to speak to the operator. One phone has been designated to ring on the operator calls.  When 0 is pressed the extension rings for 10 seconds and then a canned greeting comes on to say that no one is available to take your call, dial another extension or press 0. I need the phone to ring longer than 10 seconds.  I have tried changing every timer I can find and nothing has made a difference. I have tried Call Rerouting, extending the CFNA timer, the call routing timer, and nothing has worked.  When Night 1 and Night 2 are activated, we have it set up so that it never rings the operator extension and that works perfectly fine.  How can I make this phone ring longer?

On the Mitel 470, is it possible to block an incoming number?  I have seen a lot of literature about digit barring on outgoing calls, but a customer wants to know if they can block a certain number from calling inbound.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Off Hook access

I have a customer moving from a Nortel/Avaya background to the 250.  They are used to having the phone automatically access a certain trunk line when they go off hook on the phone.  By default the 250 automatically goes to intercom dial tone when the user goes off hook. In the 250, is there a way to have the user access a certain trunk or trunk group when they go off hook?  I have been searching and have not yet found a way to do this, but it seems relatively simple.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 250 End of Life

I just heard that the MiVoice 250 is being designated for End of Life in January of 2022.  Has anyone else heard this?  That's unfortunate.  Of the 8 phone systems I have been certified on, the 250 is probably my favorite.  I love how easy it is to program.  I will miss it very much.

A customer has a Mitel 470, v6.1.  The room phones are Teledex phones with programmable buttons.  One of the buttons is programmed for wake-up calls.  The customer is reporting that the wake-up call button is ringing busy.  I thought perhaps the buttons may be programmed wrong, so I asked him to dial the wake-up code, *9601.  He reports that dialing the code also produces a busy signal.  I have not been on site yet, but I VPN'd into the system and I don't see anything wrong but I may be missing something.  What would cause *9601 to not be functional?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Digit Translation Not Valid

I have changed the CRA for a customer because of COVID-19.  The system answers with a STAR and then goes to the appropriate CRA depending on the time of day.  The CRA for the day hours works fine, however the night CRA does not recognize changes made to the digit translation table.  The customer wants to use * for subscriber access to voicemail boxes.  When I program * for subscriber access and then call that CRA, I hear, "* is not a valid choice".  In fact, it does not matter what I program for * in the digit translation table, I still hear the same message.  I have also tried to program other currently unused digits and get the same result.  For now, I programmed a new CRA for night hours and everything works fine.  I guess I can live with that solution, but I would like to know why the other CRA does not work.  I would appreciate any suggestions.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Voicemail to email using gmail

I have a customer that wants voicemail messages from a certain mailbox to be sent to a gmail account.  I have tried all different set ups but I can't get it to work.  I am being prompted for a host name but I do not know what to use for gmail.  Also, do I need to reboot the system every time I change the IP settings. Please help.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / DB Software Version

I just experienced an issue where I could not access DB programming because the software on my laptop did not match what was on the controller.  I was able to downgrade my laptop to the correct version in order to connect to the controller.  The controller was at 6.3.6.21 and my laptop was at 6.3.7.97.  However, when I needed to connect to another controller running 6.3.7.97 I had to delete the programmer from my laptop and reinstall 6.3.7.97.  I see this as very problematic because every time I need to work on a system that is different from my laptop, I will need to delete the current version I have and install the correct one for that system.  Currently there is a new service pack available which uses 6.3.8.xx.  If I install this version, then I will not have access to most of the other systems I have in the field.  I am curious what other people do in this situation.

A customer with a small motel is having a MiVoice 470 installed next week. I am programming the system according to the customers request.  The office is not open 24/7 so when no one is at the front desk after hours, the customer wants internal calls to the front desk to go to a cell phone.  I thought perhaps I could do this through a switch position in the CDE but there is not an option for an external transfer.  I tried playing around with creating a user and setting up forwarding but I was not successful.  I am sure this can be done but I just can't find worthwhile documentation that will provide the necessary information.  I would appreciate whatever assistance anyone can provide.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Alarm 101

I have a customer who keeps getting 101 alarms.  I know that this is a very generic alarm that means there is a hardware issue somewhere. The MiVoice 250 has only been in operation for six months. One phone I replaced the jack and the line cord, and another I actually ran a new Cat6 cable put a new jack on it, with a new line cord to the phone.  I also upgraded the software from 6.3 SP2 to 6.3 SP3.  I am hopeful that these changes may help.  The wiring at this particular customer is very old and runs through multiple IDF's.  The dilemma is that the error screen does not tell which phone is  producing the errors.  I have included a screenshot of the alarm.  If this keeps happening, I am just not sure what to replace next.  Any suggestions?

I just want to confirm what I was taught in my 470 class.  The 470 does not do room charges without the CPU2 card and the iCharge software.  So although the web admin software contains information about room charges this does not work in North America.  Is this correct?

I have a customer that would like to have a custom recording play when a caller presses an invalid key.  I have been looking for something that documents the custom prompts but I have not found anything.  Does anyone know what the recording number is for invalid prompts?
