Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Nu Point Broadcast Message
« on: February 14, 2011, 06:03:19 PM »
Hi Hope some of you NuPoint guys can help..

I have a broadcast mailbox thats doing it's thing, message is left then sent to mailboxes in the distribution list, the only problem is all users have to listern to and delete the same message. Is there a FCOS that will enable the first user to listern to the message then delete it from all other mailboxes? If not another solution other than a broadcast maybe?

Thanks

Hiya

First, great forum, well done guys!

I have an ongoing issue at a customer site and wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

It's a 160 user site they are all hotdesking using 5320's they have an MXe II on MCD4.1 SP1. They have 7 HP ProCurves providing PoE set up in a stack. It's a flat network no VLANS.

The issue is that every 2 weeks on a Saturday the phones on one of the switches (4th switch down in stack) logout of their hotdesks. The customer comes in every other monday and has to log on 24 phones manually all other phones on other switches are fine. At first I assumed an issue with the switch so HP swapped the Procurve but hey persto two weeks later the phones logged out again.

There are no logs in the Procurve suggesting loss of power or alarms, the Mitel logs just show the 3300 loosing heartbeat with the phones then that they come back up a minute later!

Help

Hi chode79

As long as you select "classic mode" and not "Common Disributed Data" following the manual install then yes you can use the 6.1/7.1 database.

Hi Ralph

I had this exact same problem today and nearly went mad trying to figure it out.

The thing I still cant figure out is that my laptop was plugged directly into the Mxe via the LAN port (set to untagged) during the upgrade. Once upgraded I couldn't connect until the vlan_off command was issued?

Now the phones all work on the voice vlan which is great but you can no longer ping or connect to the Mitel from the Data network which was routable prior to the upgrade. They are using a cisco switch (not sure if port it trunk or access, data vlan 192.168.26.0/24 voice 192.168.30.0/24.

Any ideas?

Hi Sant

You just need to tell visual voicemail about the voicemail huntgroup. You programme the Visual Voicemail Huntgroup in the voicemail form.

Goto a user -> Voicemail tab -> Visual Voicemail Huntgroup, pop in the voicemail huntgroup (usually 5555) save.

You can range programme this for all mailboxes via the voicemail form one tested working.

That should do the trick.
