MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Hold Time
« on: March 07, 2017, 09:43:31 AM »
We are looking to change our hold time settings. Here is the scenario: A call is placed on hold but it only holds for 20 seconds and then rings back to everyone's desk. We are trying to increase the hold time, perhaps indefinitely  and maybe have it only ring back to the phone which put the call on hold. Can someone explain how this is done in the Mitel?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info, that makes sense. I attached a screenshot of our box, I do see the key you mention and also a couple of other usb connections. How can I ensure that USB - A is in fact the U: drive? I don't want to overwrite anything important, etc.
I stuck my usb key into USB - A but wanted to confirm with you before I pull the trigger. Is it possible for me to view the contents on my usb key now that it's plugged in somehow?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply. For now we are just looking to export the audio recorded by people for the auto answer.
I tried the menu options you mentioned under "Operations > Voice Processor Operations > Voice Processor Save but we aren't sure how to save to a network drive. By default it pops up with a drive letter "u:\". I'm assuming this is the little usb key on the device?
It looks like we can can change the save location to a windows box per the help snippet below but i'm not sure what kind of syntax it's looking for?

For a Windows or NFS location, the Hostname field is enabled. Enter a hostname of a computer on the network for the path in the the Hostname field. The Hostname field is disabled for a USB location selection. The Hostname field is filtered by DB Programming to ensure only valid characters are entered. A number or letter must be entered as the starting character. The remaining characters can be any valid character for a hostname. The valid characters are described in the table below. If an invalid character is entered following the first character, an error message appears.

Hello,
We have a voice recording for the automated attendant. Can anyone point me to where it's located and whether or not it can be exported and imported into another system?
Thanks!

The software was upgraded around 6 months ago, we just recently see this error.
Anyhow, turns out our vendor had to reload the licenses onto the little USB key to resolve the issue...

Yeah, it's actually tied into an MPLS vpn and does sit behind a SonicWall locally too, I'm not sure how this is being probed.
We'll have to figure it out quick before they guess the root password, which by the way I don't believe we use at all..

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed it seems the license isn't loaded anymore, we are checking with our vendor on this.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / SYS ALARM 132
« on: February 13, 2017, 12:27:27 PM »
We keep getting "sys alarm 132" on the phone displays on "some" not "all" phones.
Anyone know what this means or where I can find it in the logs? I looked at the alarm logs but didn't see any 132 alarm in there.
I did see some license  errors like "A125 ALARM Invalid Software License - Reset In 16 Minutes" in the log?
Thanks for any insight!

While troubleshooting a sys alarm we are getting, I noticed some entries in our syslog as follows.
In looking up these IP's , they seem to be in China, is this some kind of login attack?
Thanks for any insight!

Thanks for the reply, indeed we were able to connect to it from another PC.
Not sure why the install on the local PC isn't working. We tried a reboot but no luck. We'll try a re-install and see if that works

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Checking Ring down Numbers in Mitel 5000
« on: December 16, 2016, 08:22:20 AM »
Can someone point me to the the location where I can see how the numbers ring down?
Essentially, we have one main number and then several numbers that are used when that line is busy, I'm trying to see where these are defined in DB programming. Also, is there a way to see whether a number is used for inbound versus outbound.
Thanks!
